CALLING ALL GRAPHIC DESIGNERS…
This year, in celebration of our five-year anniversary, we are seeking to feature an innovative designer for our NEW festival logo that best represents our programming.
The winning submission will be featured on all In/Motion marketing/publicity, and its creator will receive a complimentary all-access In/Motion festival pass covering three days of screenings, workshops, panels, networking events, and more.
The logo can be an illustration or font type of any kind
The phrase “Chicago’s International Dance Film Festival” can be used but is not required
If you choose to use a color, please also provide black and white deliverables of all versions described below:
Please submit a PNG (white background & black background & alpha) and JPG (white background & black background & alpha) versions in 3840 x 2160 pixels

In/Motion celebrates dance performance within digital media platforms by encouraging artists to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration and by fostering innovation in the presentation of movement-based artworks. The festival has been successful in showcasing a broad spectrum of art from all over the world. Highlights from 2018 include:
A screening and Q&A of award-winning dance documentary Bobbi Jene and a masterclass with its featured performance artist Bobbi Jene Smith
An international juried short films screening and after party
A women-identifying panel featuring cutting edge artists/advocates including CEO of United States Artists, Deana Haggag and local award-winner Jenn Po’Chop Freeman
In/Motion works to share and expand the dance film medium with an emphasis on social justice. The logo should represent a striving to educate and push boundaries beyond the studio and screen.
