2017 FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS

  • Screened Celia Rowlson-Hall’s award-winning MA & moderated a discussion with Celia on dance film and the female body
  • Received over 100 international submissions for juried short screening (eight countries represented)
  • Held master class on dance and political activism
  • Partnered with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago’s Parkinson’s Project, the 3Arts Foundation and
  • UIC’s Bodies of Work program to host a discussion on physically integrated dance practices alongside a live performance by disabled artist Kris Lenzo.

  • Community Dance Master Class with faculty member Sarah Cullen Fuller featuring the Hubbard Street Dance Chicago Parkinson’s Project Dancers
